Tarbosaurus Mummy

In 1991, a partial skeleton containing an almost complete pelvis, tail and hind limbs was discovered in the Nemegt formation of Mongolia. Skin impressions were found on the dorsal side of this specimen. The impressions were small and pebble-like. The bones were in perfect articulation and this specimen was almost certainly buried in sandstone and sediment while skin clung on to it.

Sadly, the impressive specimen was not taken. In 1993, a team came to collect it but never found it again. It was likely taken by poachers or gave way to erosion.
The only thing that remains of this fossil is a couple of pictures.
