Tyrannosaurus rex, yet another theropod and a well-known member of the Tyrannosauridae family lived in North America during the Late Cretaceous period, 70-65 million years ago. (Though some believe it was 68-65 million years ago) Tarbosaurus was similar in size to T. rex, but was slightly smaller and less robust. It also had a weaker bite force and was likely slightly faster than T. rex. Tarbosaurus also had differences in the shape of its skull and neck bones, and its arms were shorter than those of T. rex. It had a more slender skull and neck.
