2016 May National Geographic Magazine Blog Part 1

Note: My National Geographic Magazine entries are NOT in order. (This is because I don't always have time to do my entries).

Hi! I love dinosaurs. Today I will be doing a 2016 National Geographic magazine entry. This is part one on Yellowstone. Let's begin!

YELLOWSTONE TREATY: 140 years ago, people began to "negotiate" a "peace treaty" with the wild.
This negotiation continues with growing urgency at Yellowstone and the whole planet.

Yellowstone is like a giant pressure cooker. It is heated by a super gigantic volcano. The most explosive time it erupted was 640,000 years ago. It will erupt again.

However, the chances of it erupting anytime soon are very low. Ever since a long time ago, tourists have flooded Yellowstone, excited by the wildlife, the geysers, the scenery and more.

However, this along with climate change is killing wildife. However, a century ago, bison nearly went extinct. Now more than 4,500 bison roam Yellowstone.

So, Yellowstone can survive. Right?

Conclusion: We saved bison from extinction in Yellowstone. We can save other animals in Yellowstone too.
And the animals in Yellowstone might not be endangered.

Are they?
