2017 November National Geographic Magazine Blog

Today I will be doing a 2017 National Geographic entry. Let's begin!

Pterosaurs: Weirdest wonder on wings: New ideas about pterosaurs. As technology advances, so will are knowledge on pterosaurs. Wait, what is a pterosaur? Let me explain. 230 million years ago the first pterosaurus evolved. Pterosaurs first were small, then became larger over time.

A typical pterosaur had a toothless beak, a fuzzy body, leather-like wings and a short tail. While some pterosaurs had a foot wide, Quetzalcoatlus, the largest pterosaur, was 36-39 feet wide!!

When a jumble of pterosaur bones were found, this proved pterosaurs live together. Pterosaurs ate fish and larger pterosaurs ate baby sauropods.

Sadly pterosaurs went extinct 65 million years ago.

Conclusion: I conclude that pterosaurs are a family of flying reptiles that were between less than a foot to thirty-nine feet wide. THey lived from 230-65 million years ago.
